Ashiro is a childhood friend of Meme Touwa. He fell in a one-sided-love with her and even asked her to marry him before she even knew his name. He also helped her change Tamura state of mind by making bottle-rockets to "knock-out" the aliens who would come for her. He mistook Maekawa to be the daughter of Meme.
